The University of Ryukoku in Kyoto in conjunction with the Department of Economics of Yokohama National University, Sciences Po Aix and the Aix-Marseille School of Economics will hold a conference entitled "International Economies: Challenges Ahead" on February 28 and March 1, 2026 in Kyoto, Japan.
Our world is undergoing deep changes, reflected by changes in international relations. International economic governance, international trade, international finance, agreements between companies, the globalization of labour markets and migration dynamics, geo-economics upheaval: the world of the 21st century is opening new dynamics at the start. The aim of the conference is to produce new theoretical and empirical analyses that will enable us to understand the mechanisms at work and measure the changes in the way economists investigate new issues.
